Hi everyone! Let me say that I am so happy that fresh cherries are in season! They aren’t available until late May and don’t stay in season long. I am going to bake as much as I can using these little fruits while I can get them.
Chocolate and cherry! One of the best and most classic flavor combinations! The filling in these cupcakes is a homemade cherry compote. The frosting is made using cream cheese, heavy whipping cream and a little powdered sugar for sweetness. I was going for a “black forest vibe!” And of course, I had to dip the cherries on top in some semi-sweet chocolate! Delicious!
